19 Years of..

It has been 19 years of
existence.
breathing.
loving.
caring.
believing.
trusting.
dreaming.
discovering.
hoping.
joy.
tears.
laughter.
learning.
success.
failures.

19 years of becoming who I am now.

Thank you for:

those people who has been there for me through thick and thins in life.
those whom I shared laughter and crying moments in.
those who never grew tired listening to my mellow dramas and clever moments.
those who never fails to surprise and makes me feel special every single day.
those who once measured my patience and doubted my capabilities. They helped me proved that I can be much better.
those who pulled me down and laughed at my weakest point, You taught me how to behave and act in the right manner.
for those who never fails to cheer and encourage whenever I stumble and fall.
for those who never fails to support me in all the endeavors that I had.
for those who taught me to appreciate life at its fullest and that life is always a learning continuous process.
for those who zaps me back to reality whenever I'm overwhelmed with such responsibilities
for those understands me even though I never had a word.
for those who taught me that a quality of friends of much better than quantity.
for those who once questioned my beliefs, you tested and strengthen my faith.
for spending your time with me despite your busy schedule
for showing me how to love and expressed my emotions
for giving me a clearer vision to my goals and putting things into right perspective
for teaching me how to spend my time, money and effort wisely to people I am surrounded with.

With them, I am molded and prepared me to the age of real maturity such enhanced my idiosyncrasy to be better individual.

Though I have been toppled down by some predicaments and challenges in life, still I am proud that I was able to stand strong and stay firm.

I know I have so much more to be thankful for.
What I've got is more that I'd ever hoped for yet my life is not yet complete because I am still chasing my elusive dreams

I’m 20 and certainly I am ready.
I know I have so much for to learn yet I’m ready to face challenges that are bound to happen in life.
I’m ready to answer God’s call of what He really wants me to be.

On My 20th~

"At 20, everything is possible and tomorrow looks friendly." Jim Bishop

I hope so.

Clock alarms, its 6am. I received an a lot of text messages and missed calls on my phone from my family and relatives saying its greetings to me. Overwhelming as it is, I've always been that girl who tend to be so excited welcoming a new chapter of my life.

Waking up, I then realized time flies so fast that I'm already on the stage of saying bye "teen" life and hello "twenties.  Though I am kinda reluctant of myself saying I'm 20 yet I had more to thankful for being at this stage where I can say my past years had molded me so much to be better now.

I'm so happy that I had the chance to celebrate my birthday with those people I am presently surrounded with like my college friends so as with my old friends in high school and grade school.

Greetings from my JMA Family. I so love the poster they posted. Thanks Jezyl for this! :)

Traveling Alone for the First Time

Should I go? Is it really necessary? I got some work to do. These are just some questions that perturb my mind and took me a day to decide if I should go with my mom and visit my relatives in the province. Well, those latter questions seem to unravel the answers I was hoping for. Oh yes, I come to think that sometimes I need to derail myself from the monotonous routine and responsibilities from the urbanism. Break sa ta kadali.

My mom wanted to travel on Saturday morning, but I begged to extend it on Sunday night because I have something important to finish. But she insisted because she has "MORE important" thing to do there so I got no option but to say “okay, I’ll travel alone, you can go first” then my mom said “Seriously? Ikaw bahala”. With me saying to oneself “Kaya ba naku?”

Soooo, yes! I recently had one of the best experiences of my life - a travel all by myself. I was enraptured upon wanting to travel alone for the first time with a lil scared off feeling inside.

I really wanted to take pictures but I feel a lil paranoia that may be that it will bring me to harm like getting snatch or the like.

Meanwhile, here are my insights of me traveling alone…

Challenge you more.

Traveling alone challenges your fears and insecurities.

Freedom.

It gives the feeling of absolute freedom and not depending on other people.

I get to know and familiarize the places.

Traveling alone doesn’t give me a longer nap where I used to do during travel because of my fear of getting into somewhere, so it leaves me no option but rather have short naps and see to it if I’m still on the right track.

I learn to trust my instincts.

There are really some circumstances we didnt expect to happen. I supposed to ride only 2 buses but it took me 5 rides to be on the province. To be specific- 2 buses, tricycle, sikad, jeepney since they said there was a slight problem and issue about the buses. Imagine how I felt nervous every time I think, “will the driver put me on the right place?”

The feeling of fulfillment.

Traveling solo for a certain amount of time can prove to be one of the most rewarding happenings in your life.

You’re the boss.

Your time and budget are your own! More space to make the trip entirely your own.

From my own journey, I was terrified of the unknown, but if I would have surrendered to that fear, I would have never got to know the strong and courageous side of me.

I’ve been more flexible and find it easier already to cope with unexpected setbacks and complications. The exciting feeling I felt was, there’s nobody to blame you for your own gaffes, after all!

Why Do I Blog?

We all have that sort-of definition or purpose why we blog .

My friend once reminded me to be careful with what I'm posting because maybe I'm too public in sharing everything. Well, First, this blog isn't exactly everything that I've been doing. There are actually some points in my life that better leave unsaid online and some words that are better off to be written on a piece of notebook. So basically, below are the reasons why I blog.

I blog to express not to impress.

People think blogging is just another form of one's vanities. But too often they think that blogging is a way to express one's personal thoughts and ideas and put it into words. In which, it could somehow inspire others, reflect, share one's point of view and the like.

Personally, I meant this blog as an online journal , where I can freely write random thoughts on my mind, my learnings, passage from my favorite book or quote, experiences, friends, family, God and list goes on. I didnt mean to change the world and make it a better place for you and for me. Teheee! I mean it to share my views and opinion. The point here is, though I express things in this way, atleast I didn't used this to put blame or hurt somebody. In addition, this could somehow gives relief or peace from thoughts that often interrupts my mind.

One one thing I learned is that the more you blog, the more you write – and the better writer you become.

Blogging is a virtual art.

It's just like a painter sketching a landscape inspired by the beautiful sunset, a pianist who compose songs in a lonesome night. Certainly, in blogging, it is an ordinary person writing its extraordinary thoughts randomly . Thats how I interpret blogging in a way. Since in blogging, just like what I'm doing, I can freely post my composed poem, My first photoshop typography , personal photo shots, etc . It is something created with imagination and skill and certainly gives us ideas and connection.

Blog- your own world.

You are responsible on how will you create your own world. No one can command you what your post would be or what appropriate webpage design should look like. It depends on the owner's desire. Your design or blog must be in accordance to your purpose -business,entertainment, fashion, journal.

My blog has been through different designs, skins, template then later comes down to something girly and something written in a piece of paper with bright and colorful labels. However, this design wouldn't last longer, especially if I want to try and look for something new. Well, It is also something that also reflects me.

I blog to refresh and learn more HTML code .

Through the process of blogging, most people learn some HTML code simply because it’s easier to make minor improvements to your site by yourself than it is to hire and pay somebody.

Though I'm a marketing student and neither do have subjects regarding html and programming codes in college, luckily, I was able to grasped basic html and other programming languages (java, turbo C, visual basic) during my secondary years, thanks STI high school, especially my ICT teachers for these extra knowledge hihi..

Actually, what you saw in my blog wasn't the original template should look like. I added up some graphics, deleted some codes, add some links, change the header, etc. You know, something I personalized. It is permissible as long as I haven't change the footer of this page where the maker of this template was linked (one way to put credit). Certainly, I'm not that pro programmer, if I want to change something and I dont know how, I consulted my forever helpful friends-google and youtube for some tutorials and additional tips. And I just cant afford to let someone code a layout for me haha.

Blog: A look into your life.

Sooner than what you think, your life wouldn't be just as the same as it would be. Certainly, change is the only constant thing in this world. You grow, you learn. You may soon forget to constantly update your blog but one day, when you revisit it, you then remember things that had long lost forgotten through time-experiences, artwork, people you've been through, etc. some thing you can be proud of, some thing you can say "Seriously? I've been through these?" and lastly, you may share the stories with your grandchildren. Its a timeline and diary of your life I would say.

It was year 2009 then when I started blogging and my first post was about my best of friends in high school. I remember I posted it in a way to appreciate the friendship that we had plus our favorite song before. Thinking if things would ever be stay the same. I wasn't even thinking the purpose of my blog or what next post should I publish at that time, just childish and silly memories I had. Now, its been 5 years in blogging industry *choos. Scanning those older posts often makes me smile or cry *emotional* . How time changes everything and how God puts things in his marvelous ways.

Should I stop blogging? Preferably not, hopefully not, not yet...

Friendly Reminder :

Yes, you may consider that page, your blog, as your own whether it is encrypted with a certain blog platform e.g blogger, wordpress or even have your own domain. Remember to be responsible with you are sharing and put credits from a certain piece you copied that is posted in your blog, dont plagiarize nor steal other people's work. Imagine your life would be if it happens to you, it seems like someone gets something that you really work for.

First Time in Davao City

After an almost 9 hour travel from Cagayan de Oro City, we finally arrived at Crown Jewel of Mindanao or popularly labelled as the Durian Capital of the Philippines - Davao City.

Aside from the the marketing convention we are up to, we certainly didn't miss the chance to enjoy our two days trip around the city.

First stop: People's Park
An urban public park located at the center of the city.

The Promenade
First thing that struck us around are those people doing morning exercise and zumba at the promenade. It was inviting to see them doing the routine exercise which makes my friends do the same...

A perfect place to jog and walk around with its very wide oval surrounded by different trees and plants.

 Durian Dome
This serves as the center and main entrance which opens the park with its spiky dome roof inspired by their very own fruit-Durian.

I incredibly like this park with its clean and peaceful ambiance perfect enough for strolling around and even mingle with friends.

As for our last day, we had a lunch at a Korean Restaurant before going home-CDO
